Topsoil Manufacture
It is forecasted that over the next 15 years the East of England will host the construction of over half a million new homes, all of which will have landscaping requirements that will cumulatively require a massive quantity of good quality topsoil.
The concept of topsoil manufacturing allows for the use of subsoil, degraded soils and other recycled materials, including compost, to create a medium that can sustain healthy plant growth. The manufacture of topsoil using compost can replace the requirement to import excavated topsoil, which is becoming a scarce and expensive commodity.
